Hiya all. Skyfalls is moving to a new server tonight, thanks to my ever-fabulous hosts at
Hosting Matters, so in the process the site may behave a little strangely as the domain is being pointed in a couple of different directions.
Info for any tech geeks interested: The reason is that I'm planning on adding some features to the site and needed different software to do so; the software requires PHP5, as opposed to the older PHP4 that my old server's using. I asked HostingMatters about an upgrade and they were like, "no problemo!" In fact, since HM rocks so very hard, they're moving me over for free, a mere day after I asked, and
also keeping the old site live for a few days to make sure everything works and is backed up. How much do I love these ladies?
Anyway, that's the scoop. Probably not noticeable except for some slower response times, but I figure it's worth mentioning. Thanks for your patience, and if anyone sees something weird, please do let me know.
Side note to Eppy members: eventually the EpiGuide is gonna have to move as well, because the planned latest version of vB will require PHP5 too, but for now and probably through the end of the year, we should be okay.
