An exciting conclusion to the hostage situation! I think it was smart to focus the episode on this story because the momentum was so strong that it needed its own time to play out.

J.D. was almost comical in this one as he began to realize he was screwed. His constant screaming and dropping the F bomb showed that he definetely was not in control of the situation. Pretty sad that he was outsmarted by two teenage girls.

Gald that we got the whole story from Cassandra on what happened to her mother. I figured it was something like that, but nice to get confirmation from her herself. I hope this storyline continues because I like the character of Cassandra and now that she's admitted her role in her mother's death, it could make her character even more interesting. I can still see her together with Tim eventually - maybe after he has time to sort things out with Samantha's abduction. He's hating her right now, but I think sooner or later he'll have to admit that she didn't intentionally unleash J.D. on them.

This adventure will undoubtedly bring Samantha and Tempest close and propel them into friendship, I'm assuming. It's a nice side affect from the hostage situation, and something that should cement Tempest a little more into the rest of the town.

Thanks for a gripping episode, Michael. Can't wait to see these characters' journeys in the aftermath of the incident.

I second Andy's statements. The climax was exciting. I love it flipped back and forth between Tim/Diane and the actual car.

Cassandra's story was nice to finally hear. Samantha and Tempest were great today; I like how JD kept dropping the FBomb once he knew they were over. Pretty fast paced episode too.

I'm looking forward the ball!

I had other stuff in this episode, and it just was not working. It felt so silly to cut back to characters talking about their mild relationship drama when there are two teenage girls trapped in a car with a gun-wielding nut.

Let's be honest: his plan was pretty terrible. "I'll teach Tim a lesson by holding his daughter at gunpoint and forcing him to get me the safe deposit box info, and then I'll... let the girls go?" Not a lot of forethought there beyond his own greedy desires.

Showing them seemed like a necessity, too. Plus you know how much I love giving Diane anything to react to! And it helped with:

Full disclosure re: Cassandra, and I guess this deserves one of these...
