[Discussion] The future of the series

Yes, there is one, all evidence to the contrary.

I know I'm constantly stopping and starting, and that it's difficult for any audience to follow a series that has so little staying power and whose writer seems apathetic toward her own creation. But I'm not apathetic. I love this series very much, love its characters and most (!) of the plots.

My issues are well known to many here, so I won't rehash them. I'll just say that I have no intention at this time of setting ASF aside, and to that end will be taking part in Web Series Writing Month to spur on my flailing writerly muscles.

I hope that those of you who've remained will find whatever I publish to be worthy of your continuing generosity and interest.

... In the meantime, you might be interested in reading an interview I gave a month or so ago, part of the EpiGuide's live chat series. Questioned by Andy Eckles of The Blackthornes, I willingly revealed not just plenty of info about my writing history and mental issues, but also included a link to a video of myself at a tender age, singing from Cole Porter's Kiss Me, Kate.

(HEY KIDS! Time for an Incredibly Difficult Trivia Contest: five dollars will be PayPalled to the person who can identify one of at least two Cole Porter songs mentioned in ASF, and how it was used. The second part is the difficult one, since I actually credit most music used on the ASF site in a fairly obvious place. I fully anticipate not having to pay out, but you never know... )

Who are you the Kiratest and what have you done with our Kira? O_O Oh... just as well. As long as you will write the continuation of ASF or force her to write it (I hope she's alive somewhere in the basement)

Cruella my dear! You are indeed come again. Welcome back! How was Prague?

Kiratest was my evil twin ... well, actually, my good twin ... who came to town bent on revenge intending to right a terrible wrong. (If "problems with the blog software" can be considered a terrible wrong. It certainly felt that way, at the time.)

I was just mentioning to Dana yesterday that I've been working on WeSeWriMo, and if you're interested you can check out a few posts on my blog, as well as in the WeSeWriMo forum threads. A new ep will be published in September.

And as I've just been reminded, there's also a one-off special type of thing that will probably be posted later this week, the first part of which was created for an EpiGuide "Writers Challenge" article relating to Michael Jackson, of all things. I went overboard and ended up writing a lot more than necessary for the article, so it's turned into a short story (much like the Nora holiday short story, in fact, except this one is canon and takes place in the past).

So that's what's up with me and kiratest. Your turn!
